Deeq Abdi Aziz Mohamed, also known as Jidaal, was born on February 19, 2002, in Buuhoodle, Cayn region, Northeastern Somalia. He pursued his education both within Somalia and abroad and holds dual citizenship with the Netherlands. Deeq has served in various offices within the Somali government and has played a major role in the struggle for establishing an officially recognized federal member state for Sool, Sanaag, Cayn, and Hayland — a mission that successfully came to fruition. He now stands as a candidate for the presidency of Northeastern Somalia, with a vision rooted in defending the nation, its people, and its faith, while promoting stability, unity, and development in the region.
